UNITED AIRLINES, IT'S ABOUT TIME!
Negotiations between United Airlines and its flight attendants (represented by the AFA-CWA) have gone on for nearly six years, with cabin crews working without a raise since 2020. After rejecting an initial deal last summer, the two sides reached a new tentative agreement in late March 2026, which is now awaiting ratification.
A previous tentative agreement (TA1) reached in May 2025 was rejected by 71% of flight attendants in July 2025, forcing both sides back to the negotiating table.
The new deal includes immediate raises upon ratification, top pay reaching $100 an hour boarding pay, and "sit pay" for long waits between flights.
Voting on the new TA2 opened on April 23, 2026, and close on May 12, 2026. If ratified, contract implementation is set for May 31, 2026.
Airlines' management has praised their flight crews for the service they give their passengers. To that we ask, "What took you so long to offer them a reasonable contract including the first pay raise since 2020?"
