Rob Turner’s remarks on Facebook.

too extreme? really? im pretty sure women are fed up with the misogynistic rape culture where womens efforts are rewarded with significantly lower pay and poorer working conditions and the glass ceilings and old boy networks which mean that promotion is challenging and even when in higher roles there is the constant suggestion they got there because of their looks or through sexual favours.

sure if you ask many men they would say it is extreme but many men also think their place is in the kitchen and they should be pregnant and silent. this is why we got to where we are, by asking men. as i man i am sorry if this comes over as mansplaining but someone has to say to fellow men to shut up and realise that treating other people as inferior due to their race gender or differences is disrespectful and harmful.

The following is a response on Facebook that I thought should be shared here.

This article is out-of-date with reality, same old republican BS, to discredit the women's movement for equality: (Wages are not the same for the same jobs! We are not given financial credit as much as men are - even with evidence that we are more stable job-wise and with our families! We are not promoted to jobs we are more than qualified and educated for! We are not given the support for legal actions for child support and health care for us and our children, that men are, meaning they pay for Viagra but refuse to pay for birth control (just one example of many)! They make exceptions for them to not pay support all the time - we women get no exceptions!!! Women are a 100 times more scrutinized for the way they dress and present themselves over men, (that stupid and insane "boys will be boys," attitude) - and girls are raked over the coals for a skirt too short or a little cleavage showing. 🙄😡) I will fight for more and more rights and equality for women till the day I die. I welcome debates too - but you only have to look at republican states to see how fragile women's rights are, and the ridiculous ruthlessness and platform of the republican propaganda rhetoric and party! Marco Rubio is a trumpster and we all know how trumpy treats women!!! So, a very lame defense at best. She needs to do more homework and research to gain any points for this article. Men and women are divided - by gender alone - however, many women have to be mothers and fathers both, because of the failures of men today - AND THAT'S ON THEM, BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO MAN UP AND BE MEN AND FATHERS!!! I am a women's rights activist and a warrior woman for women and young girls - because we deserve it, because we need it to survive and raise our families - not to cause division!

In response to: THE 2ND IMPEACHMENT OF TRUMP!

Comment from: Reid Cornwell

The house should/can impeach Trump, if for no other reason than to memorialize his bad acts for posterity. There is nothing to prevent the senate from holding the trial after he has left office. If he is found guilty in the trial, he will not be able to hold office in the future and he will not receive the retirement income. He will also become the only President to be impeached twice. He has earned any punishment levied to him.

Not only did we show up and vote. We WON.
That means women of all colors, cultures, and pro-choicer's need to UNITE.
We need to put pressure and change laws on
1. Term limits
2. Cap on campaign spending.
3. Public servants in office need
to be monitored on a.
quarterly basis.
They need to show up
Roll up their sleeves
and work, M-F. Golf is for
weekends and on their dime
Not ours..

In response to: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT NATIVE AMERICAN WOMEN?

Comment from: MaryCatherine

MaryCatherine

I live in the foothills of North Carolina. I have been to Cherokee and watched with joy the beautiful people of this proud tribe. They climbed up ropes and and did all kinds of acrobats that looked so scary, but all ended well. But like you, Maria Tallchief, I watched and listened to a college professor talk with passion about the cruelty towards the proud Native Americans. The infamous Trail of Tears. I couldn't get this off of my mind, so I read what little I could find about these proud beautiful people. So I wrote a story about them. A children's story with a happy ending. If you go onto my email page, my son, a computer engineer saved the story for me. If you can't download it, my email is catbirdsview@gmail.com. I think I have a copy of it. Hopefully you will like it.

As long as most politicians think women don’t count, and many women believe them, they won’t vote. The premise is forgone; “I don’t count ergo my vote doesn’t count." This is the curse of a patriarchal society. The best way to turn that upside down is to VOTE. "I vote, therefore I count." Then use your new status as a voter and make a difference.

What to do first is elect Biden who we hope will be a Demand-sider who will tax the wealthy and corporations enough to fund small business restoration, free college for Blacks, infrastructure upgrade, national healthcare, and reimagining law enforcement.

YES!!!  We must ALL join together to get Trump out of office.  If we don't the loss may well be our fault.   This includes ALL the parties coming together!!!
