Renee Nicole Good: Honor her by listening, saying her name, and sharing this with everyone you know.

William B. O'Neil Jr.

I recently wrote a protest song honoring the memory of Renee Nicole Good, the single mother of three, now orphans, who was murdered by faceless, badgeless ICE jackboot

thugs.
While my song, "Say Her Name!" is copyrighted, please take a moment to listen and feel free to pass this protest song on to your family, friends and social networks in protest of the gestapo-like tactics of ICE.

"Say Her Name" — Renee Nicole Good
Lyrics and music by William Brady O'Neil, Jr.
Label: Yinzer Blast Furnace
[Verse 1]
Minnesota cold, candles in the street
Portland Avenue, history on repeat
Less than a mile from where the knee met the neck
Now a federal gun leaves another family wrecked
Single mom, already buried her love
Still showed up every day, still did enough
Now her boy got no parents left living
Because ICE pulled the trigger and called it "mission"
[Chorus]
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
Killed by ICE, let’s be crystal-clear and good
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
Federal power took a mother from her son
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
No warrant, no jury, no understood
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
ICE don’t get to be judge, jury, and gun
[Verse 2]
They said “self-defense,” they always do
Funny how it only cuts one way through
Car becomes weapon when power feels fear
Gun becomes policy, rights disappear
Fourth Amendment tossed in the snow
Due process gone when they say “don’t slow”
You can’t shout “law and order” with a hole in the proof
When the Constitution’s bleeding in front of the youth
[Bridge]
Fourth says secure in our homes and skin
Fifth says no life without due process in
Fourteenth says equal means everyone
Not “unless ICE wants another one”
(Beat builds back up)
Walz said, “You’ve done enough”
Frey said, “Now somebody is dead”
But Noem called her "terrorist" while the blood was still red!
[Chorus]
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
This ain’t a glitch, this is power understood
Say her name—Renee Nicole Good
No Constitution, no consent, no peace
[Outro]
A badge don't cancel constitutional life.
Renee Nicole Good.
Justice for the orphan.
(End)
Renee Nicole Good, age 37, had three children: a 15-year-old daughter, and 12-year-old son from her first marriage, who are both currently living in Colorado. She was raising her 6-year-old son from a second marriage to Timmy Ray Macklin, Jr. who passed away, leaving her to raise the boy alone.
